Now that Memorial Day has come and gone, we’ve officially fallen into the heat and humidity of summer. Whether you’re sticking it out in the city, escaping on the weekends to the nearest beach or keeping cool by the pool, everyone is looking to take a few days off for rest, relaxation, and some Vitamin D in the form of Mother Nature’s sunlight. Glam caught up with Prabal Gurung, Peter Som, and Olivier Theyskens to find out where the designers are jetting off to before hitting the runways in September.
Prabal Gurung
“I have a summer share with my good friends [in Fire Island.] We all went to school together and have known each other for 14 years. I’m [also] planning to go to Europe and Asia.”
Peter Som
“I spend as much time on the beach as humanly possible! I go to Fire Island but I also go to the Hamptons a lot. Any beach!”
Olivier Theyskens
“I’m going to be in the city working. My summers are in the winter. I love [spending summer days in] Washington Square Park – it’s amazing.”
